October 28, 2008:

Thanks for visiting us at MileHiCon!

We want to thank everyone who came to visit us at MileHiCon over the weekend. The continued interest and support from everyone has really helped the staff get fired up. We look forward to seeing all of you at OpusFest in March!

Guest announcements, event information and vendor agreements are coming soon. I just got an e-mail from the person who will be our Artist Guest of Honor. We just need to finalize the details and I will post some info. I also need to finalize some details about a weekend long LARP that will be running at OpusFest as well. If you are interested in running an event or being a vendor at OpusFest, I will be posting those forms shortly. We just had a great visit with the Red Lion Hotel and they have provided us additional space. In light of that, it completely changes the convention layout and we will now have a larger dealers room, art show and additional panel/event rooms.

We are very excited about these changes and I know it will greatly improve the fun at OpusFest!

September 25, 2008:

Discounted Online Ticket Purchasing Is Available!

You can now purchase discounted tickets for OpusFest online. We have decided to continue to use EventBrite for our online ticketing provider. Through them you can pay by PayPal, Credit Card or Check.

These discounted tickets are only available for a limited time so buy yours today!

Website Update: Added a FAQ to the OpusFest website. I am still working on getting a good online ticket provider for pre-reg, hopefully it will only be a few more days.

September 8, 2008:

Well it has been a while since the page has been updated and I figure it is time to let everyone know about the exciting things that have happened to OpusFest over the past year or so, and to get the proverbial ball rolling for 2009.

Now Under New Management!

OpusFest has been sold to Twilight Realm Media, LLC which is run by James Nimark (yours truely). I have been helping organize Opus for the last couple of years and I am very excited that we're going to be back in 2009! I promised a lot of people that 2007 was not going to be the last Opus, and while I said we would be back in 2008, I hope those folks will forgive me and see what we have in store for 2009!

Date and Hotel Announcement!

That's right, Opus Fantasy Festival will be held March 13 - 15, 2009 at the Red Lion Hotel in Denver, CO and we expect to see all of your smiling faces there with us. We're still working on the guest line-up, and a lot of other details, but we'll be sure to keep everyone informed as information becomes available.

Room Rates Announced!

We are pleased to let everyone know that discounted room rates are available for OpusFest. The room rate for a standard double-occupancy room is $79.00 (plus taxes) To get this rate call the Red Lion and tell them you are with OpusFest. This discounted rate is only available for a limited time so please book your room early.

Also... For you smokers, we have a limited amount of smoking rooms available at the hotel. These are very limited, so again please book your room early.

I am working on getting OpusFest registered with an online event site so you can purchase tickets online. Hopefully this will be available in the next week or so. Also, if you want to run an event or are interested in being a Vendor or providing artwork for our Art Show, please let me know. For now you can e-mail myself at info@opusfest.com and I will get better contact information up as soon as I can.

July 13, 2008:

The staff of OpusFest would like to let everyone know that Opus will be returning in 2009! Due to multiple reasons we were not able to run our show in 2008. Many exciting things have changed for the Opus Family in these past few months and we look forward to getting everyone up to speed shortly. In the meantime, please rest assured that Opus will be back, we are not dead and we are looking forward to putting on another great show in 2009!
